Translated from original German description: It was the search for the font used on Stasi file covers in order to recreate them as faithfully as possible as film props. It was actually just a couple of letters, so I started out by recreating just those letters and then started developing an entire typeface from them
But as luck would have it, I came across a nearly complete figure chart of the Rhythm by Schelter & Giesecke from 1932, so I made my own, which was really just about the word "IM process". then put it aside and I preferred to trace the original neatly. This is how the CAT Rhythm came about.
And while I was already drawing, I then hopefully supplemented the font not only with all the punctuation marks and special characters, but also with all the Latin letters that are used somewhere in Europe, as well as a Cyrillic character set.
