Botera is a Typographic Project based in the environment of Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real, Spain) and its wine heritage. Enology and typography speak the language of finesse. Both of them understand time in the same way: the owner of qualities related with knowledge of tradition and new influences.

Bringing together the heritage and the flavors, aromas, contrast and power that make so recognizable the wines of this area. Reading texts in Botera type, we do not only use a font, but we give to the user an original heritage of a region consistent with its roots. We think Botera is a typographical project that is born in this particular place, Valdepeñas and according to its wine heritage.

Botera® is the result of the Final Project of Studies of Graphic Design realized by Javi Montoya.

Botera is a Typographic Project based in the environment of Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real, Spain) and its wine heritage. Enology and typography speak the language of finesse. Both of them understand time in the same way: the owner of qualities related with knowledge of tradition and new influences. Bringing together the heritage and the flavors, aromas, contrast and power that make so recognizable the wines of this area. Reading texts in Botera type, we do not only use a font, but we give to the user an original heritage of a region consistent with its roots. We think Botera is a typographical project that is born in this particular place, Valdepeñas and according to its wine heritage. As we like to say, enology and typography speak the same language and for that reason they are not so distant and have comprehension between both. Botera is like wine, we can use it every day or keep it for special moments. It is the safeguard of the characteristics of these wines, able to show us the knowledge of tradition and new contributions.

Botera is an OpenType typeface, composed of two Regular and Stencil weights, and with a total of 278 characters each: Uppercase, Lowercase, Alternative characters, Ligatures, Decimal and ancient numbers, Punctuation marks and Pictograms related to the world of wine.

Botera® es el resultado del Trabajo final de Estudios de Diseño Gráfico realizado por Javi Montoya.

Botera es un proyecto tipográfico que parte de las raíces de un lugar, Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real, España) y su patrimonio vinícola. La enología y la tipografía hablan el mismo lenguaje, el de las sutilezas y entendiendo el tiempo de la misma manera.
Es el continente de las características de estos caldos depositarios del saber hacer decantado por la tradición y las nuevas aportaciones. Conjugando la herencia y los sabores, aromas, contraste y cuerpo que hacen tan reconocibles los vinos de esta zona.
Al leer textos en Botera no sólo usamos un tipo de letra sino que ponemos a manos del usuario un patrimonio originario de un lugar y consecuente con sus raíces.

Botera es una tipografía OpenType, compuesta por dos pesos Regular y Stencil, y con un total de 278 caracteres cada uno: Caja alta, Caja Baja, Caracteres alternativos, Ligaduras, Números decimales y antiguos, Signos de puntuación y Pictogramas relacionados con el mundo del vino.
